Phil is a Columbus native, and he has lived in Hilliard since 1996. He joined the Pedal with Pete board of directors in 2018. Phil’s first experience with PwP was as a rider, and PwP has been a long-time family tradition and favorite ride for Phil and his family. Although not directly involved in PwP, Phil has always been inspired by the volunteers and the contagious joy and gratitude of the families who are impacted by cerebral palsy, making it an easy event to promote and recommend to cycling friends.
Phil’s involvement in his community has been a significant part of his life. He served as an Assistant Scout Master and then Committee Chair for The Boy Scouts of America, Troop 814 in Hilliard. Phil was also very active with the Hilliard Davidson High School marching band as a member of the Pit Crew. In 2005 Phil was hired by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training to serve as the head cycling coach. He trained 5 teams from 2005-2008, raising more than $54,000.
Phil has worked in the financial services business since 1996. He works for Haughn & Associates, Inc. in Dublin specializing in individual financial products and longevity planning.
Phil and his wife Martina have two children, Jacob and Molly, and are new grandparents to Sophia.
