Mimi Singh is the practice administrator of a surgical practice at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and a licensed social worker. She received her BA & MS in Social Work at the University of Minnesota. Mimi is married to Errol O. Singh and has a son, Andy, who lives with cerebral palsy.
Mimi previously served as a Board member of Easter Seals Society of Central Ohio. She believes in “cerebral palsy mom power”. While Mimi’s son, Andy, was attending kindergarten at the Nisonger Center on OSU’s main campus, she was asked to help raise funds for an accessible playground which would allow all of Nisonger’s students (particularly those who are disabled) to participate in play. Mimi contacted Ed Renzi, an OSU graduate and the President of McDonald’s, who pledged to donate an accessible playground. This playground is enjoyed to this day by Nisonger’s students.
Mimi has been a Director of the Pedal with Pete Foundation since 2009, and she is a member of the Cerebral Palsy Research Team. This team reviews and recommends the funding of promising research grants that seek to improve the lives of individuals living with cerebral palsy, including her son, Andy.
