Pedal-with-Pete is possible because of our volunteers’ dedication to increase public awareness of and raise funds for research. Most volunteer roles involve preparation of the events and logistics on ride day. Volunteer opportunities are available with varying levels of commitment. Your time investment can be as little as four hours on ride day or you can make a longer term commitment to the local planning team.

Would you like to help people of all ages and abilities do something ACTIVE, MEANINGFUL, and COST EFFECTIVE? Would you like to have FUN doing something MEANINGFUL and using your CREATIVITY, SMARTS, and/or ORGANIZATIONAL ability? Would you like to help people WALK their TALK (or PEDAL their PRATTLE)? Time Commitments range from from 3 to 8 hours. The spirit at this event is electric, positive, and friendly. You’ll leave tired yet rejuvenated!
Volunteers who help organize the Columbus event meet for about 6 months, once a month, in the evening. Some volunteers are “directors”, and others assist the directors with marketing, fund-raising, route planning and marking, record-keeping, requesting door-prizes, and other logistics. Everyone gets a feeling of accomplishment, camaraderie, and the joy of moving forward CP research and helping people.

Board membership. If you would like to nominate someone for our board of directors, please contact Cathy Levy, Vice President, firstname.lastname@example.org , or Ernie Larger, President of the Board, email@example.com . We are always looking for people with leadership skills and specially skills as a friend or family / extend-family member of someone with CP, someone with Fundraising expertise, or, someone with Legal expertise, to help build our board. We meet about 10 times a year, in Hilliard, almost monthly, and do work outside the meetings too.
