25th Annual
Kent, Ohio
Bike & Hike Event

Partnering to fund cerebral palsy research

STAY TUNED!   Please SAVE THE DATE of Saturday, June 8th for the 25th Annual Pedal with Pete, Kent event!  We’d love to have your help and support as a volunteer, sponsor, donor, and/or participant!

Opening Day for online registration will be  here with a BANG on Monday, March 25th, which is also Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day!  On this date, and this date only, we are offering a GREATLY reduced fee of $25 for Adult registrations! Fees will be higher after March 25th.

Why would we offer such a low-low price?  Because… the sooner you register, the sooner you can take advantage of some wonderful new ways to partner for cerebral palsy research:  We at Pedal with Pete are launching a new Online Registration system, STRIDE, provided by the Wells Foundation, and for the first time, as you register or donate,

  1. You’ll optionally be able to tell YOUR story about why you donate or participate and you’ll be given a link to that story that you can share with your friends and family, inviting them to read your story and donate to cerebral palsy to help you reach a fund-raising goal!
  2. Also, you’ll have a chance to form or join a TEAM if you like through this registration process and support one another through the pre-season!

To Pre-register on Opening Day, March 25th, or to take advantage of other pre-season discounts, just return to this webpage and click the “register here” button.  You’ll be transferred to the STRIDE website for early registration.

March 25th is almost here… The sooner you register, the sooner you’ll be partnering to fund cerebral palsy research!

STAY TUNED!  Also, SOON, we’ll have a PDF of the registration form available here for you to print, complete, and mail in.

The 25th annual Pedal with Pete, Kent Event will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019. The start/finish is at the Stanton Middle School, 1175 Hudson Rd., Kent, OH. Check-in is from 7:00 to 9:30 AM for the long-route cyclist rides, and extended to 10:30 AM for short-route cyclists and for walkers. Save by pre-registering online (here!) by June 5th, 11:59 PM. However, in order to receive a 25th anniversary T-shirt, you must pre-register on-line no later than May 19.  For mail-in registration, the postmark deadline is May 10 for a guaranteed T-shirt.

The foundation is all volunteer-based, with over 80% of the funds that are raised going directly to fund cerebral palsy research. Cerebral palsy is caused by abnormalities in parts of the brain that control muscle movements, therefore the research can lead to life-improving treatments. Because Pedal with Pete is a 501(c)3 organization, all donations are fully tax-deductible. Pedal with Pete was founded by longtime Kent resident Peter Zeidner, who has cerebral palsy, because of the lack of research on the condition. Since its inception in 1993, the foundation has raised more than $1,200,000 for CP research.

If you want to help Pete with his mission to fund CP research and improve lives of people who live with CP,

  • Mail your donation to Pedal with Pete, P.O. Box 274, Kent, Ohio 44240 or add a donation when you register for this event.
  • Register here for the Kent ride or hike.
  • Contact ride co-chair Jim Stroble at kentevent@pedalwithpete.org to volunteer or donate door prizes, food, drinks, and/or promotional items.

Pedal with Pete thanks you!
