Biography, George W. Gaiser, Board Member
Rev. George Gaiser is a retired Lutheran clergyman (ELCA). He received his BS in Physical Science from Michigan State University in 1956. After two years as an officer in antiaircraft artillery in the US Army, he received his Master of Divinity from what is now Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. He spent ten years in parish/campus ministry at University Lutheran Church in East Lansing and 25 years as Campus Pastor for Lutheran Students at Kent State in Kent, Ohio. He is married to Judith nee Eilmann and has two daughters, Jennifer and Evelyn, and one granddaughter, Anna. George’s hobbies include tropical fish cultivation, fishing and some woodworking.
In 1980, George became lovingly acquainted with Peter Zeidner, an incoming freshman at KSU. In 1993 Pastor Gaiser became involved in the establishment (with Peter and others) of the Pedal with Pete Foundation. He has held many positions in the organization including Board President, and he still enjoys his partnership today.
